Transforming Pain Into Purpose. Inspiring Hope
Some websites promote organizations. Others carry stories that matter.
The Kayla Hamilton Foundation deserves the latter.
The Addison Group proposes the development of a beautiful, secure and thoughtfully designed digital home for the Kayla Hamilton Foundation. The website will honor Kayla's life and legacy while giving the Foundation the tools it needs to share its mission, accept support, communicate its work and grow its impact.
Our goal is not simply to build a website. Our goal is to build a platform worthy of Kayla's story.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Kayla Hamilton's story has reached far beyond her family and community, becoming part of a national conversation and inspiring congressional testimony and federal legislation bearing her name. At the center of all of that attention, however, is Kayla. A daughter. A sister. A young woman with dreams, determination, faith and a future.
The Foundation's website should ensure that her life is never reduced to the circumstances surrounding her death. It should tell the world who Kayla was, what she loved, why her life mattered and how others can help transform an unimaginable loss into something that changes lives.
OUR APPROACH
The Addison Group will create the new Kayla Hamilton Foundation website using Squarespace, providing the Foundation with a professional platform that is secure, mobile-responsive, easy to manage and capable of growing alongside the organization.
The website will balance four important responsibilities:
REMEMBER KAYLA — Tell Kayla's story with warmth, dignity and humanity.
SHARE THE MISSION —‚Clearly communicate what the Foundation exists to accomplish and the people and causes it serves.
CREATE IMPACT — Provide opportunities for visitors to donate, volunteer, participate, apply for programs or scholarships and support Foundation initiatives.
DOCUMENT THE LEGACY — Create an authoritative home for important news, milestones, public appearances, legislation, media coverage and the continuing impact of Kayla's story.
PROPOSED WEBSITE
The final sitemap will be developed collaboratively, but we envision a website including:
Home
A powerful introduction to Kayla and the mission created in her memory.
Kayla's Story
A personal look at Kayla's life, personality, family, interests, faith and the qualities that made her special.
The Foundation
The story behind the organization, its mission, leadership and vision for the future.
Our Impact
Programs, community initiatives, partnerships and organizations supported through the Foundation.
Kayla's Legacy
A carefully documented timeline of significant events, congressional testimony, legislation, recognition and other milestones connected to Kayla's story.
News & Media
News coverage, interviews, videos, press resources and Foundation announcements.
Get Involved
Opportunities to volunteer, partner, sponsor, attend events or otherwise support the mission.
Donate
A simple, secure and compelling way for supporters to make contributions to the Foundation.
Contact
A professional point of contact for supporters, organizations, media and community partners. Additional pages and functionality can be incorporated as the Foundation's programs and needs are further defined.
BUILT WITH SECURITY IN MIND
Because of the national attention surrounding Kayla's story, security and responsible website management will be considered throughout development. The website will be built within Squarespace's professionally managed hosting environment and configured using current platform security features.
Our setup will include:
SSL-secured website connection
Secure Squarespace administrative access
Recommended two-factor authentication for administrators
Limited administrative permissions
Secure donation/payment processor integration
Spam protection for public forms
Responsible collection of personal information
Privacy and website-use policies
Secure domain configuration
Backup copies of important website content and assets
Ongoing monitoring of website functionality
No website can reasonably be represented as immune from every possible cyber threat. Our responsibility is to employ sound practices, minimize unnecessary exposure and utilize established third-party platforms for sensitive functions such as payment processing.
DONATIONS
The website will provide a dedicated donation experience designed to make giving simple. Depending upon the Foundation's final requirements, visitors may be able to make:
One-time gifts
Recurring contributions
Gifts to designated Foundation initiatives
Memorial or honorary gifts
Event-related contributions
Payment information will be handled through the selected third-party payment processor rather than being stored independently by The Addison Group. Transaction and payment-processing fees charged by those providers are separate from website development and management fees.
A PARTNERSHIP WITH PURPOSE
The Addison Group believes strongly in organizations that turn difficult circumstances into meaningful community impact.
For that reason, we want to do more than simply provide the Kayla Hamilton Foundation with a quote.
We want to invest alongside you.
Professional Website Development Value = $7,500. This represents the estimated professional value of strategy, website architecture, design, development, content assistance, donation integration, launch preparation and training associated with the project.
The Addison Group Community Investment = ($5,000 as an in-kind donation). We will contribute a significant portion of our professional services to help establish the Foundation's digital presence.
Foundation Website Development Investment = $2,500
This approach allows us to make a meaningful contribution to the Foundation while ensuring the project receives the professional time, attention and accountability required to build it properly.

THIRD-PARTY COSTS
We believe in keeping these costs transparent. The Foundation will be responsible for direct third-party expenses required to operate the website, including:
Squarespace Subscription — Paid directly to Squarespace at the selected plan's current rate. (Or, included in the Foundation Website Stewardship listed below.)
Domain Name — One custom domain may be included during the first year with an eligible annual Squarespace subscription. Future domain renewals are the Foundation's responsibility. (Or, included in the Foundation Website Stewardship listed below.)
Payment Processing — Credit/debit card and other payment processing fees are charged directly by the selected payment provider.
Optional Services — Email marketing, Google Workspace, premium integrations, stock photography, specialized applications or other third-party services requested by the Foundation would be quoted or approved before purchase.
Whenever practical, these accounts will be established in the Foundation's name so the organization maintains ownership and control of its digital assets.
*Option: ONGOING WEBSITE STEWARDSHIP
A website carrying a nationally recognized story should not simply be launched and forgotten. Following launch, The Addison Group proposes an annual Website Stewardship Agreement to help maintain the integrity, accuracy and effectiveness of the Foundation's digital presence.
Foundation Website Stewardship = $1,250 annually. Once the website goes live, this annual investment will be invoiced separately.
Stewardship includes reasonable ongoing support for:
Website content updates
News and media additions
Foundation announcements
Leadership updates
Program and scholarship updates
Donation functionality review
Form testing
Link and functionality review
Squarespace configuration assistance
Minor design adjustments
Technical troubleshooting
Annual website review
Major redesigns, new applications, extensive new sections, campaign landing pages or substantial new functionality would be scoped separately before work begins.
FOUNDATION OWNERSHIP
The website is being built for the Kayla Hamilton Foundation. The Foundation should maintain ownership of its domain, Squarespace account, payment processor, donor relationships, content and other primary digital assets.
The Addison Group will serve as the Foundation's website development and stewardship partner with appropriate administrative access necessary to perform our work. This creates continuity without creating dependency.
PROPOSED TIMELINE
Following approval and receipt of the necessary materials, we anticipate approximately 4–6 weeks from kickoff to launch.
Week 1
Discovery, website architecture and content collection
Weeks 2–3
Design and initial development
Weeks 3–4
Content development, integrations and Foundation review
Weeks 4
Revisions, donation configuration and testing
Weeks 5
Final review, administrator training and launch
The schedule may be accelerated or extended depending upon content availability, approvals and third-party integrations.
OUR COMMITMENT
Kayla's name now carries a story that reaches far beyond one family, one community or one moment in time. But this website should always begin where her story truly began: With Kayla.
Our commitment is to create a digital home that treats her life with dignity, gives the Foundation room to grow and provides people who encounter her story with something meaningful they can do next. Remember her. Learn from her story. Help someone. Support the mission. Transform pain into purpose. Inspire hope.
Sincerely,
THE ADDISON GROUP
